About Me

Prior to entering the mental health field I studied acting at USC and for ten years worked across mediums as an actor, holding several other part-time jobs along the way. It was through my own experiences with trauma, anxiety, and burnout in my late 20s/early 30s that I developed a deep curiosity about mental health and practices for individual and collective healing. I feel strongly that our innate human creativity is a vital tool for healing and that the balm of secure and attuned relationships helps us thrive and expand past where our fear and trauma may have us stuck. Humor can help too.

Approach

My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and trauma-informed. My goal is to co-create a warm and non-judgmental environment that encourages curiosity, connection, and a spirit of exploration. I endeavor to meet my clients where they are, upholding respect for each client's lived experience and practicing cultural humility. I believe my clients are the experts on their own lives and and I consider it a real honor to get to work side-by-side with my clients towards their particular goals.

My work is grounded in attachment theory, family systems, and trauma-focused approaches. I utilize a strengths-based lens and often integrate somatic (body-based) and mindfulness interventions and practices when appropriate. I am also fully trained in EMDR therapy. Though I work integratively, drawing from various theoretical frameworks, research has shown that the most important factor for therapeutic progress is the relationship between client and therapist, so I endeavor always to bring my authentic (and imperfect) self to the relationship and welcome my clients to share about what they want from our time together, what's working, and what's not working. We're in this together!
